The U.S. Consulate in Saudi Arabia is saddened to report a tragic incident involving an American Engineer working with RIGINEER LLC, an American owned Company.

   On the 13th of Oct. an explosion occurred while the workforce was engaged in a contract awarded to Rigineer LLC by Saudi Aramco. This incident has profoundly impacted both the American community and the local workforce.

The explosion resulted in the untimely death of one American engineer, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Additionally, two other engineers sustained serious injuries and have been transported to local medical facilities for urgent care. The welfare of our citizens is our top priority, and we are closely monitoring the situation.

The U.S. Consulate is coordinating with local authorities & RIGINEER LLC to gather more information about the incident and provide assistance to the affected individuals and their families. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to those injured.

The safety and security of U.S. citizens abroad are of paramount importance to us. The Consulate continues to work with Rigineer LLC, Saudi Aramco and other relevant agencies to ensure an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the explosion is conducted swiftly and thoroughly.
